Eternal Judgment of God: Final Decision
Eternal Judgment of God: You Must Make a Decision
Nothing reveals the word of God as a two-edged sword like the principle doctrine of Eternal Judgment.
- Hebrews 4:12-13, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”
It is evident that there is no person, action, or thought that is hidden from God. He sees everything. We can lie and hide things from one another, but we can’t lie or hide our thoughts or actions from God. If this sounds scary…it should be. We shall all stand before the eternal judgment of God.
Every person is going to be judged according to his actions and inactions in this life. There is no one exempt. The eternal judgment of God is inevitable. Listen to what the Bible says.
- Revelation 20:10-15, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was no place found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Eternal Judgment of God: Why is everyone going to be judged?
The answer can be found in the in the Holy Bible.
Eternal Judgment of God: First…God the everlasting God, the creator of everything, is a holy God.
- Revelation 4:8-11, “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Eternal Judgment of God: Second…all men have sinned against Holy God.
- Romans 3:9-19, “What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not know: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world guilty before God.”
- Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Eternal Judgment of God: Third…God who is holy, must punish sin.
- Romans 1:18, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;”
Eternal Judgment of God: Fourth…there is no man who is worthy to stop the wrath of God.
- Revelation 5:4, “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”
It is evident from the scriptures that all people are under the condemnation of God, and rightfully so, because we have sinned against a holy God. If the condition of man stopped here there would be no hope, but praise God there is hope! God has provided a way for mankind to avoid his wrath and gain eternal life!
Eternal Judgment of God: How can we be saved from Judgment?
- Revelation 5:5-14, “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.”
The good news of the gospel reveals that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, has reconciled us to God.
Eternal Judgment of God: Who is the Lamb of God?
- John 1:29, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
Jesus Christ, the Son of God came to reconcile us to God by offering his body as a sacrifice for all men’s sin. He has secured eternal life for all who accept his great provision. God’s eternal judgment for the believer in Christ is eternal life.
- John 3:16-21, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they are wrought in God.”
I am heartbroken to say that many people will reject the grace of God, and choose the wrath of God, because of their love for sin. They shall be forever tormented in the lake of fire with no hope. God’s eternal judgment of those who reject Christ is eternal damnation.
Those of us who accept the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the dead will be forever blessed by God.
- Romans 4:6-8, “Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”
Those who don’t accept the atoning blood of Jesus will be forever doomed to Eternal Fire!
Eternal Judgment of God: One last word.
Let us that have accepted Christ as our Lord redouble our efforts to spread the saving message of Jesus Christ. Let us not sit and watch others perish without sharing the love of God.
- II Corinthians 5:10-11, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…”
It is my sincere hope that many who visit this site will repent and to turn to God through Jesus Christ.

Eternal Judgment is the last of the six principle doctrines of Christ which are:

Faith Toward God
Doctrine of Baptisms
Laying on of Hands
Resurrection of the Dead

These six doctrines are the foundation of knowledge believers need to build their spiritual houses.
