Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: Faithful and True Witness

The second witness to the Revelation of Jesus Christ is Jesus himself. Jesus Christ isRevelation Chapter 1 - The Second Witness - Jesus Christ the Faithful and True Witness of God. Jesus Christ is the perfect witness to the love and mercy of God. That is his commandment from the Father.

  • Revelation 1:1 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him…”
  • John 12:49-50, “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: The Father’s Will

It is the Father’s will that all will come to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • John 6:39-40, “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

God himself through Jesus Christ his Son has testified that all who believe in Christ may have everlasting life and become the sons of God.

  • John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in his name.”

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: The Message

The message that Jesus brings is that all men should repent of their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Matthew 4:17, “From that time Jesus began to preach, and say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

It is in repenting and receiving Jesus as Lord as Lord and Savior that men can be saved and have eternal life.

  • Romans 10:8-10, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: The Father’s Command

Jesus is waiting for all to repent and come to him. His command from the Father is to give eternal life to all who come to him…for he is the only way to eternal life.

  • Acts 4:10-12, “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: Word of God Became Flesh

Jesus is the Faithful and True Witness. He is the Word of God who became flesh. He is shown us the way to eternal life. All we have to do is repent and accept God’s great mercy through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • John 1:1-4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
  • John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: A Tragedy

Let us humbly accept the grace that is brought to us through the Lord Jesus Christ. If we do not accept his grace and mercy…we will be found fighting the very God who loves us. That will be a tragedy indeed.

  • Revelation 19:11-16, “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Revelation Chapter 1 – Second Witness – Jesus Christ: My Prayer

It is my prayer that all who come to this site may repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. There is no other way to gain eternal life. Believe this glorious message that is brought to us by the Son of God himself, Jesus Christ.

  • Hebrews 2:3, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;”
