Tragedy of Abel and Cain – Cain Leaves Gods Presence: Cain’s Worst Problem
Genesis 4:16, “And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in 
the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.”
The worst thing that can ever be done is to walk out of the presence of God. Not just for individuals but also for nations.
As an American, I have seen God’s great blessing to our country. We are a nation founded on Biblical principles, but we have decided that we don’t need God anymore.
It is time to realize that the blessings to our nation have come from the grace that resides in Jesus Christ alone.

We have let prayer and Biblical based training to be outlawed in our schools and now our schools are armed camps needing to have police officers ever present.
Tragedy of Abel and Cain – Cain Leaves Gods Presence: Ten Commandments out of Courts
We have taken the ten commandments out of our courts, and we have judges legislating from the bench.
We have government officials deciding that we no longer need “In God We Trust” on our money. Our financial system is in the toilet.
Tragedy of Abel and Cain – Cain Leaves Gods Presence: Our Posterity
We seem to have forgotten that the Preamble to our Constitution bears the phrase, “and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”
What is our posterity but unborn generations? And yet we allow the murder of unborn children.
No nation can long exist without the blessing of God. As a nation we have chosen to abandon our God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and turn a blind eye to sin.
We laugh at sin at our movies. We turn the other way when we see wrong. We glorify evil men. God will not be mocked what we sow we shall reap.

Who is to blame? I believe it is us, God’s people.
The Word tells us, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
Tragedy of Abel and Cain – Cain Leaves Gods Presence: The Solution
It is time that we Christians repent, seek the Lord, and pray.
It is our sin that we need to confess and forsake.
If we repent and turn with our whole heart back to the Lord Jesus Christ, then he will heal our land and many will come to know Christ.
